Gunzenhausen is a nationally recognized recreation area. It is noted as being at one end of part of The Limes Germanicus, a Roman border wall, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We went with our whole family for lunch today and it was very good food and service as usual. It was very busy that's why I would recommend booking a table in advance. Arriving at the hotel late, we ate here not expecting much but it was delicious, and the service was fantastic! Franconian specialties, they have a garden out back overlooking the fields and the bike path and river behind.

The outside dining wasn't bad, the only downside was an occasional wasp or fly, but what outdoor dining doesn't have nature bothering you on occasion? The food was excellent, though the service was a little slow to respond to the people sitting outside. Keep in mind, that the outside sit down area was also facing towards the street. Even though on occasion the traffic was loud, it didn't affect our conversation levels, which was nice. Gunzenhausen is a town in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, in Bavaria, Germany. There will be a nice beer garden with very freindly service people. The service is also freindly, good and fast.I had a mixed plate and this was good. Received a Gift Certificate from our daughters for us to have a Date Night for my wife and me.
